While I may not be a parent myself, years of working with families (and lots of energetic little ones!) have taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and creating a space where everyone feels at ease. FAQ
What should we wear for our family session?
I recommend coordinating outfits with complementary colors and avoiding heavy patterns or logos. Neutrals, earth tones, or soft pastels photograph beautifully. But most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. If you’d like, I’m happy to help you plan outfits or send over a style guide!
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
No worries at all — I totally get it, and I actually expect a little chaos! I approach every session with patience and playfulness to help your kids feel relaxed and have fun. Some of the best moments come from the candid, in-between stuff — giggles, hugs, even a little mischief. Your job is just to show up and love on your family — I’ll take care of the rest.
What if we’re awkward in front of the camera?
You're not alone — almost every family tells me this before their session! My approach is relaxed and fun, with lots of gentle guidance so you never feel stiff or unsure of what to do. We'll play, laugh, and just let the moments unfold naturally. You don’t need to “perform” — just show up as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Can we include grandparents, pets, or extended family?
Absolutely! These sessions are all about what matters most to you. Whether you want to include grandparents, cousins, or even the family dog, I’m all for it. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan the session to make sure we capture everyone in a meaningful way.
*Your session includes coverage for up to 10 people. If you'd like to include more, it's just $50 per additional person — that way, we can ensure there’s enough time and attention for everyone.
